about

Burnin' Daylight was recorded on Leigh's 8 track at Ticketyboo's Shed, Federal NSW. Bending time, space and reality the Re-mains triumphed again with seven tracks of superior country rock'n'roll released just in time for an epochal tour of rural NSW in October 2004.

The Re-mains would like to thank Rob Smith of ABC Radio Darwin for his fine production work and Annie Gastin and ABC Radio Darwin for allowing us to reproduce the live-to-air recorded with Annie on August 11, 2004. Goodonya Annie for supporting CR'N'R. Thanks Thérèse for your patience and saintly forbearance in allowing us to pervade the house for so long. And a dab hand at producing the surf guitar in The Letterbomb.

Many thanks go to Simon Greaves for the loan of gear, Troy Schmidt for technical assistance, Michael Worthington for mastering, Dale Whitcroft for black box relocation, Mick Thomas for benevolent patronage and an inspiring email. As always, for their boundless hospitality, conviviality and rakia, Mark and Georgina Savic at the City Tavern, the Temple of Country Rock'n'Roll.

Thanks Sarah Cumming Last for tirelessly promoting the arts. Especial thanks to our talented compadres, Adam Bell for extraordinary artworks beyond the call of duty and Craig Lawler for a succession of fine photographs. Shaun thanks Raven and Maisie for their fine spiritual dancing. And Gram Parsons for an unrivalled milestone on CR'N'R.

about

The Re-mains NSW, Australia

The Re-Mains are renowned as the hardest driving independent band in the country when they first started their country rock and roll crusade in 2002. They boast that they’d played more rodeos, outback dives and inner city hellholes than any other band in Australia. Five albums, two EPs and more drummers than Spinal Tap. Banjos, pedal steel and balls to the wall country rock and roll. ... more
